The Mirth’O’Matics, a troupe of improvisation comedy actors from Monterey take audience suggestions and turn them into hilarious scenes made up on the spot. This will mark the Mirthers debut performance in Salinas . “What an honor to perform in a site honoring one of America ’s great writers,” said Gerry Orton, the troupe’s director, who drew a comparison from the Steinbeck quote, “A journey is a person itself; no two are alike.” Orton observed, “Just like an improv scene, no two are alike. That’s what make improv scenes so much fun.” The show is upbeat, fast paced, funny and family friendly. It involves a lot of audience interaction
