Students in Remington College cosmetology programs across the country will provide complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids ages 17 and under.
The program runs for a two-week period prior to the start of most schools in each market.
Remington College has provided 5,297 complimentary haircuts during the first two years of its Cuts for Kids program.
“Back to school expenses can really add up, especially during these tough economic times,” said Dr. Mike Lanouette, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for Remington College. “Cuts for Kids is a way for us to help parents save some money and help kids look and feel their best when they go back to school.”
Adults who bring a child in for Cuts for Kids will get 50 percent off select services for themselves, including haircuts, styling and nail care.
The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting. The program is available at thirteen Remington College campuses: Baton Rouge, Memphis, Tampa, Houston (three locations), Cleveland, Mobile, Lafayette, Nashville, Dallas and Columbia (South Carolina) and Honolulu.
