Molyneaux Floors Announces Pet Billboard Contest Winner

Raises Funds for Animal Friends
& Awareness for Pit Bulls

Pittsburgh, PA – July 6, 2011: This summer, Molyneaux Flooring held a social media-driven contest to find the new face of their billboard campaign.  Pet owners from the Pittsburgh region entered photos of their four-legged friends (and one rooster!) on Molyneaux’s Facebook Fan Page. After receiving 150 entries and thousands of votes, one winner was determined on June 30, 2011. Logan, a rescued American Pit Bull Terrier, will appear on Molyneaux billboards this August.

With every entry Molyneaux agreed to donate $5 to Animal Friends, a local non-profit companion animal resource center. Based on the number of entries, Molyneaux will present a check in the amount of $750 to the charity. We invite members of the press to join us at Animal Friends at 10am on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 for this photo opportunity. Representatives from Molyneaux and Animal Friends will be in attendance, along with the winning dog, Logan, and his owner Melanie Dastranj.  

A representative from Pittsburgh-based non-profit Hello Bully will also be at the press conference on Tuesday. Hello Bully is dedicated to rehabilitating and repairing the reputation of the American Pit Bull Terrier.

"We encouraged our supporters to submit entries to this contest since every entry meant a $5.00 donation to Animal Friends. $50.00 underwrites one spay or neuter surgery, so these entries really make a difference," says Jolene Miklas, Director of Communications for Animal Friends.
