Oxygen Audio Signs Exclusive US Distribution Deal with AAMP of America

July 6, 2011 - PRLog -- TAMPA BAY, FL  – Oxygen Audio has signed an exclusive distribution contract with AAMP of America to market and sell several of its innovative mobile audio and electronics solutions for the iPod and iPhone in the United States. The first Oxygen Audio product to be carried by AAMP of America will be the O CAR, a truly unique headunit that transforms a user’s iPod touch or iPhone into the faceplate of a RDS-equipped AM/FM car radio. AAMP of America is expected to begin soliciting the O CAR in late July, and the unit will carry an MSRP of $299.95.

Debuted at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show to much media attention, The O CAR is the only car stereo headunit specifically designed and manufactured for full-integration with select iPod touch and iPhones.  The O CAR offers the user control all car stereo functions (volume up/down, channel tuning, band selection, etc.) using the touch screen of the iPhone. Additionally, a unique docking attachment and other patented technologies in the O CAR allows horizontal and vertical screen access and viewing so that all iPhone apps (GPS, Internet radio, caller ID and more) may be used quickly and easily while on the go. The O CAR features a built-in RDS-enabled AM/FM tuner, Bluetooth connectivity and a 4-channel, 55-watt amp that links to a vehicle’s factory or aftermarket speakers for outstanding digital quality sound and bass response.

Already a major player in the field of car integration kits for the iPod and iPhone with its iSimple and Pacific Accessory Corporation brands, AAMP of America hopes to capture even more market share with the introduction of the O CAR in the US.
