IFA Sport Announce Major Collaboration With Dubai World Trade Centre’s Indoor Sports Event

July 6, 2011 - PRLog -- IFA Sport are pleased to announce their participation in ‘Dubai Sports World’ being held for the next 2 months in the Dubai World Trade Centre. Dubai World Trade Centre has collaborated with the most professional sporting academies and clubs to provide a world-class experience for all visitors - from first-time players to experienced athletes.
“IFA Sport are thrilled to be an integral part of what will be a great annual event,” says Jim Reilly, Commercial Director of IFA Sport, “the facilities are amazing and ‘Dubai Sports World’ provides the perfect opportunity for kids, teens and adults alike, to stay sporty during the summer, be active, meet others and most importantly to have fun!
Approximately 600 tons of sand and 6,600 square metres of Astroturf have been transported to the venue for the beach sports areas and the full size football pitch. In total there are nearly 25,000 square metres of dedicated sports facilities within ‘Dubai Sports World’ dedicated to two months of spectacular indoor summer sports.
“We have needed a giant, multi- use indoor sports venue for the summer period and it is great to see that this has been achieved thanks to Dubai World Trade Centre and their partners. There is something for everyone at ‘Dubai Sports World’ for those who want to be active during this period- old or young and at whatever skill level. We at IFA Sport look forward to welcoming the footballers of the UAE to our academies and tournaments,” concludes Reilly.
IFA Sport are running Football Camps at ‘Dubai Sports World’ where children and teenagers will be able to learn football skills or enhance their existing skills from IFA Sport’s FA qualified coaches. They are also organising football tournaments at the venue for the 16 and above age group, vets (over 35’s) and corporate teams- being held in the largest indoor arena in the UAE. IFA additionally have Pay & Play options for hiring the pitches for football, futsal and beach football.

Established 4 years ago, IFA is the largest football coaching academy in the UAE. It coaches more children in more places than any other football academy in the region. IFA’s philosophy is ‘Sport for All’, meaning the Academy is inclusive rather than exclusive. All children between the ages of 4- 16 irrespective of gender, age, background or ability are welcome at IFA.
IFA operates in over 20 locations throughout the UAE and has a vision to help more kids get more out of football. All head coaches hold a minimum of the English FA level 2 coaching certificate and Emergency First Aid qualification.
IFA currently has over 2,000 participants attending coaching sessions and junior leagues on a weekly basis across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. It also has over 400 players competing weekly in the Premier Youth League which was established in 2009. IFA also runs adult leagues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi which have over 500 participants and holds an active database of over 3,700 members.
