The Tacky Wedding Pub Crawl Crashed the Heights on June 16, 2011

July 6, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TEXAS -The Houston Heights received a “Tacky Makeover” when Wish Upon a Wedding touched down at Hughes Hanger for The Tacky Wedding Pub Crawl last Thursday evening. The “fun”-raising evening took participants through the Tackiest Wedding Day ever. The Houston Wave, Houston’s first official “jitney” shuttle service, provided transportation as participants crawled from pub to pub competing in contests ranging from a hula-hoop contest , the always tricky garter toss, and a very entertaining scavenger hunt .

When guests arrived at Hughes Hanger for the Ceremony they were greeted by the tacky mother of the bride, Houston Chapter President, Heather Hamilton- Sims and their tacky bride for the evening, Houston Chapter Public Relations Chair, Crystal Milton. Cocktail Hour was held at the Pearl Bar where the “Best Costume” contest took place along with a spirited hulu-hoop contest. The next stop was the Reception at Washington Ave. Drinkery for lite bites and the bouquet and garter toss. The evening ended with a joyous honeymoon at Swaye Bar and they did not disappoint as the last place to find the remaining items on the scavenger hunt.

“I the most AMAZING time on the Wish Upon a Wedding Tacky Pub Crawl! The Mission of WUW is awesome and I cannot wait to be a part of more things to come!” says Pub Crawler, Jamali Lundy. Their energies now turn towards granting upcoming wedding wishes and preparing for the Blissful Wishes Ball, Wish Upon a Wedding’s annual gala, on September 8, 2011.
