Follow on Google News | Polls Suggest Widespread Hatred for Casey AnthonyA number of Wepolls.com polls show that the general public not only do not accept the trial verdict, but would like to see Casey Anthony dead.
By: WEPOLLS.COM In one poll conducted on 5 July, 2011, the day that Ms. Anthony was acquitted, out of 953 respondents, 58 percent, a majority, said that there was enough evidence to either convict Ms. Anthony of the murder charge or one of the lesser charges. Only 23 percent agree that there was reasonable doubt. In the same poll 12 percent commented that she should “rot in hell.” In a separate poll of 355 respondents, 22 percent predict she’ll be murdered when asked the question “What’s next for Casey Anthony?” “I can’t say I’m surprised by the result,” says Alex Karendreas, Chairman at Wepolls.com. “Our users have been following this story for quite some time. It’s evident that members of the media and the public had already convicted Anthony before the legal system had a chance.” Mr. Karendreas’ sentiments are reflected by the same group of respondents. In a survey of 353 people the 39 percent stated that CNN’s Headline News, specifically, should be ashamed of their reporting, and that they were “clearly… convicting the masses of [Casey Anthony’s] Hatred against Ms. Anthony isn’t just shown in polls conducted on the day her acquittal was handed down. For example, in a poll from 11 May, 2011 out of 570 respondents, 67 percent had already judged Ms. Anthony guilty at that time, 46 percent of which wanted to see her receive the death penalty. On the bright side for Casey Anthony, she may not have trouble finding a new boyfriend, or girlfriend for that matter.
