Solar Impact Restores Gainesville Regional Airport To Its Solar Heritage

July 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Gainesville, Fl 6/29/11 — Solar Impact has partnered with the Gainesville Regional
Airport to design and install Phase I and II of the airport’s solar electric project. Firms
from around the southeastern United States competed for the project. Phase I of the
project is nearing completion and calls for 35,000 watts of solar photovoltaic panels to be
installed on the main terminal building. Phase II will begin shortly and will add 226,000
watts. The airport is returning to its “solar heritage” as the main terminal building was
originally designed for solar back in 1974.
