Kids at Carlisle
As technology evolves, it seems that in a world filled with mobile devices, portable gaming systems, on demand movies and other forms of entertainment, parents are looking for an alternative to get their child off the couch, out of the house and in a setting more conducive to family bonding. In addition to the convenience of a technological babysitter, the downward economy makes finding affordable activities key. Because of these challenges and more, Carlisle Events strives to provide a weekend full of entertainment and memories that will last a lifetime.
At any point throughout the season, parents are encouraged to bring their child to a car show. SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association and Carlisle Events are proud to support the “Take Your Kid to a Car Show” initiative. This special program encourages adults to bring their child or a special child in their lives to an event, including one of the 10 promoted and produced locally to introduce them to the automotive world.
Throughout the season, Carlisle includes various activities geared solely towards the youth-based demographic. The local initiative starts by allowing all children aged 8 years and younger onto the grounds for free and continues with a special “Kids Choice” award at all events and the “Kids at Carlisle” play center at many of the events. Further, each event aims to provide something special for the kids, like celebrity meet and greet sessions, live music, dancing, monster trucks, world champion frisbee dog exhibitions and more.
With colors and numbers playing a vital role in a child’s development, Corvettes at Carlisle offers a unique opportunity for parents and children alike to witness a wide array of the color blue. Having been honored by General Motors with a color, Carlisle Blue, the 2011 Corvettes at Carlisle will unveil the Road to Carlisle Blue where it’s anticipated that 34 different shades of blue will be on display. What a fun way for the kids to count the cars and colors.
Finally, all shows provide affordable family entertainment. Tickets per adult are on average, approximately $10 and with children under 8 gaining free admission; a day at Carlisle is the perfect outlet for affordable family entertainment.
