Whether you’re here for the first time or on a repeat visit! A full list of events taking place in the city this summer can be found in the "Mon été à Paris" (My Summer in Paris) guide or on our website at http://www.new-
July and August see the arrival of 2.7 million international visitors to Paris (2010 figures), making these two summer months the most important in terms of tourism for the Paris Ile-de-France region.
To enable our visitors to make the most of an action-packed summer, the Paris Ile-de-France Tourist Board has designed a special guide listing more than 70 events and 40 exciting holiday ideas. The guide will feature:
- A selection of unmissable summer events, including festivals, music events, dances, circus performances, exhibitions and open-air cinema…
- A selection of useful addresses, including shops, bars, restaurants, outdoor cafés and nightclubs…
- A guide highlighting ideas which will help visitors focus on the aspects of the city which interest them most, whether they’re keen to explore unusual sights, experience the city’s lively atmosphere, take time for a leisurely stroll or plan activities for their children…
- Video clips: a video on the city’s summer festivals and interviews with artists who offer their own recommendations for visiting Paris.
The guide is available in 4 languages on the region’s websites at www.nouveau-
Once in the Paris Ile-de-France region, visitors will be able to pick up a hard copy of the "Mon été à Paris" guide, which will be available in French (150,000 copies) and English (150,000 copies) in 24 metro stations (from 21 June), at the 6 tourist board information desks at Roissy and Orly airports, in 650 hotels in Paris, 300 accommodation providers in the city and the surrounding three departments, in Parisian taxis and other partner sites at the La Défense information desk, as well as on board the TGV Lyria train from Switzerland, and in the Eurostar train stations at London-St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Ashford.
A Psycho quiz has also been launched on Facebook (You, Me and Paris page), which will run until 13 July to win a weekend in Paris for 2 people, including passes for the Rock en Seine festival (26-29 August).
