Eco Retailer Warns Green Investment Bank Could Do More

The update states the GIB is to be founded to allow direct action to boost the green business sector. The UK needs to hit future important climate change targets to comply with legislation. Investing in these firms could have been a real boost to efforts to cut climate change, allowing them to spend more on developing new products. The Climate Change Act requires the UK to slash its carbon emissions by 34% in the year 2020 and 50% by 2050, in comparison to 1990 levels.
