Blank, 28, learned how to cut, install, repair and replace glass as a 17-year-old junior in high school. By the next year, he was a full-time technician at a local glass shop.
After working at the same shop for 10 years, Blank started at the local Glass Doctor franchise in Fruitland, Md. A year later, when the owner decided to sell the business, Blank saw an opportunity. Now, he owns his own business.
“I’ve always wanted to go into business for myself, so when the opportunity presented itself, I figured I’d give it a try,” Blank said. “I’m excited to help the community by providing quality glass work.”
Upon purchasing the franchise, Blank attended the most in-depth training in the glass services industry, a 10-day training course on the latest glass repair technology, customer service techniques and marketing methods held at the Glass Doctor University Training Center in Waco, Texas.
“We’re delighted Willie has joined our franchise team, and we know the business will be successful because we operate under the same core values,” said Mark Dawson, president of Glass Doctor. “We all believe in building our country through entrepreneurship and superior customer service.”
