June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The Bra Recyclers, in an effort to increase awareness about recycling re-usable textiles and supporting women in transition, announce a recycling program called The Bra Recyclers Network. The program is designed to recognize and reward recyclers for their green-deeds. As a part of the initiative, recyclers can receive a $50 gift card for themselves and for a ‘green’ friend. The program is designed so that those who have recycled bras previously can continue making a difference by encouraging their friends to recycle.

CEO of The Bra Recyclers, Elaine Birks-Mitchell, says, “Many of our recyclers have asked how they can continue to make a difference. The Bra Recyclers Network offers recyclers a way to continue making a difference even when they do not have any bras to recycle. By encouraging others to recycle their bras, our recyclers can act as ‘word-of-mouth recycling ambassadors’ and continue to help women globally, while preventing unnecessary textiles from entering the waste stream.”

The new ‘green’ rewards initiative brings together ‘green’ minds that think alike. Our goal, along with the members of the Bra Recyclers Network, is to expand our outreach and support to shelters and organizations across the globe.  In the upcoming months, the Bra Recyclers hope to extend their support to Utah,  Oklahoma, North Dakota, Arkansas and Kansas.
