Light of the Wicked: The Demons Are Coming-Now Available for Kindle, Nook, iPad and other e-Readers

When Evil Arrives, a Quiet Town Begins to Die in New Psychological Thriller

June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Whether we are aware or not, there is a constant and fierce struggle unfolding between the forces of good and evil. It is fought in heavenly places and here on earth by angels and demons.

In the seaside village of Penhros Bay, all was quiet in this quaint little Welsh haven. No backstreet bars or nightclubs, no tacky tourist shops or blaring music, it was a beautiful place. Then the demons came.

The local curate jumps to his death off a church tower and all hell breaks loose. Now drunkenness, violence, kidnapping, and murder abound in this once peaceful place. Just what is happening?

Light of the Wicked exposes what is unseen by the townspeople, the grim battle that leads to all-out war. To the victor the spoils, and also the fate of the people of this besieged town.

Interviewed recently by the Essex Chronicle, author Fred Hurr explained the genesis of the book by saying that, after he and his wife had moved to rural Wales, they “went to a concert evening at a church and at the end of the night a vicar came to me and made some very disparaging comments about another vicar. I thought, that would be a good idea for a story – a sleepy town where everything appears normal, but underneath there is a real nastiness.” Six months later, he had finished his first book. Hurr was born and raised in London, and currently resides in Conwy, North Wales. He has been inspired by George Orwell, Stephen King, Frank Peretti, Ted Dekker, and more recently, by the Swedish authors Henning Mankell and Stieg Larsson.
