Pedicures:

We would like to explain why we use certain products and materials for our pedicures such as our metal bowls, green exfoliating scrub, and blue salt.

Our number one priority is your health and safety. Metal bowls are easier to disinfect than plastic or porcelain jetted tubs. The metal is not porous at all, which means that any bacteria or fungus that comes into contact with it can be completely removed. To clean the bowls we use soap and hot water, then Barbicide to disinfect.

We no longer use the green exfoliating scrub. We use salt and sugar scrubs made by My Good Scents. My Good Scents is a local company that uses salt from the Great Salt Lake. These products are our favorite and the favorite of many of our clients. They have a variety of products and scents. They exfoliate your hands and feet leaving them feeling soft and moisturized. We also sell My Good Scents products in our salon.

The blue salt is a mixture of Epsom salt and pedicure soak. The pedicure soak is CND's Earth Mineral Bath. Epsom salt is used to soothe and relax muscles, remove odors, and soften rough skin. It is beneficial to the pedicure to soften your calluses and cuticles, sanitize your feet, and make the water smell and look pretty.

We use CND (Creative) and OPI products for our polishes, top coats, and base coats. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Our manicure procedure:

1. Soak hands in warm water and manicure soak.
2. Push back and nip cuticles.
3. File nails to desired shape, and gently buff with Soft Touch disinfectable buffers.
4. Apply My Good Scents lotion and massage hands and forearm.
5. Remove lotion and oils from nail bed using polish remover.
6. Apply Stickey Base Coat, 1-2 coats of polish (depending on color or client's wish), apply top coat and cuticle oil. Spray with Nail Dry.
7. At least 10 minutes of drying time with fan.
