Ehsan Sadri, M.D. of Atlantis Eyecare first eye surgeon’s to use Hoag Hospitals 3D True Vision

June 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Newport Beach, CA: Atlantis Eyecare announces Dr. Ehsan Sadri will be one of the first eye surgeons to use the new True Vision 3D surgical system at Hoag Hospital Surgery Center on Friday, July the 1st.  The operating rooms will have 50-inch 3-D monitors with the operating team using special 3-D glasses to put the images into focus.

The surgical microscopes have cameras attached to them, and those cameras broadcast the images that the surgeon is seeing.  Although, the system still utilizes an operating microscope, there is a 3-D camera in the optical pathway rather than having the surgeon looking through oculars.  Each eyepiece has a separate camera collecting data that will be projected onto the 50-inch 3-D monitors.

“What’s great about this technology is the surgery team is able to see what I’m doing and they can anticipate what my next step is going to be, making for faster, safer, and better patient outcomes, “ says Ehsan Sadri, M.D.  “In addition, this technology allows us to take the video to our practice and teach and consult with our group on the best techniques to use during certain types of surgery cases.”

Dr. Sadri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained in treating cataract, glaucoma and LASIK surgeries.  He is trained in the most progressive ocular surgical techniques including cataract surgery, phakic intraocular lenses, LASIK, PRK, refractive lensectomy and AK.  Dr. Sadri is a thought leader and an active speaker at many Ophthalmology conferences where he teaches other eye surgeons the latest techniques for vision correction and preservation.  He will be treating patients at the Newport Beach, Foothill Ranch, and Anaheim locations of Atlantis Eyecare.
