This 3 day Paddles and Pinots weekend getaway takes place August 26-28, 2011, and treats guests to exhilarating whitewater rapids, hosted wine tastings, and tantalizing Oregon fare. Robert Wolfe, an Oregon aficionado on Pinot Noir wines and known as the “Pinot Guy” will host the wine tastings. Mr. Wolfe is owner of The Oregon Pinot Noir Club, the nation’s most significant national retailer of Oregon Pinot Noir and other high-end Northwest wines. By day, guests will ride the rapids and enjoy the stunning scenery of the historic Rogue River. By night, they will be led by Robert Wolfe through tastings of some of the Northwest’s best Pinot Noir’s. Guests will spend the first night camping on the riverbank under the glittering Oregon sky. The Rogue Wilderness Adventure guides set up a full riverside kitchen and prepare mouthwatering meals while guests relax, take in the scenery, and sip wines around the campfire. The second night will be spent relaxing in the cozy Paradise Lodge. Wine pairings with delectable foods, star gazing, wildlife viewing, and experiencing the ‘unplugged’ Dates: August 26-28, 2011.
