The Balancing Act Seeks Brand Integration Partners for 'Parent Teacher Corner' Series on Lifetime

The Balancing Act created 'Parent Teacher Corner' to address issues plaguing K-12 education. The series is micro-focused to the needs of those most affected by education in America today- the student, parent, teacher and educational administrators.

Associate Producer, Cynthia Carter of  “The Balancing Act” TV show, is looking for in show brand integration partners to assist in developing the show’s storylines for their popular ‘Parent Teacher Corner’ series.  

“The Balancing Act” created the ‘Parent Teacher Corner’ to address the issues plaguing K-12 education.  By collaborating with the Learning First Alliance, which is made up of 17 of the most powerful associations in education, “The Balancing Act” is able to bring before Lifetimes viewers, leaders from the Alliance.  Guests will include Dr. Dan Domenech from the AASA, as well as corporate leaders from Fortune 500 companies.  The main focus of ‘Parent Teacher Corner’ is to present innovative K-12 solutions.

The result of this powerful collaboration is the creation of television programming that is micro-focused to the needs of those most affected by education in America today- the student, parent, teacher and all educational administrators. The success of ‘Parent Teacher Corner’ can be attributed to these key components:

•   To engage the parent with solutions- so that they can become active advocates for their children in school and at home.
•   To empower the teachers with information on practices that creates positive outcomes in other classrooms.  
•   To inform the administrators on the inner-workings of technology that saves money while producing student success.

Carter says, “As a parent myself, I know it is imperative that we are engaging our students with creative, content-rich curriculum. Only by acquiring the appropriate hardware, software, and online solutions will educators be able to inspire learning that will translate to success in their student’s lives, both in their continuing education, but also the 21st Century workplace. “The Balancing Act” has partnered with Dell, Verizon, Cisco, Qualcomm, and Pearson and many others leaders from the industry. The focus for upcoming 2011/2012 school year will be ‘Tools for the 21st Century School’, ‘Tools for the 21st Century Classroom’, ‘Extending the Classroom‘ , ‘STEM Education’, ‘Health in Schools’, and ‘Cybersafety’, among many others.

The scheduling for the 2011/2012 school year has already begun.
