Rainforest Expeditions Holding Wildlife Photography Contest

Rainforest Expeditions is hosting a nature and wildlife photography contest. Prizes will be awarded to the three best photos, including a grand prize of free seven day Tambopata photo workshop with international airfare.

June 28, 2011 - PRLog -- With thousands of different plant and animal species Tambopata, Peru is often referred to as the capital of biodiversity.  Hundred year-old Kapok trees hover over the canopy providing shelter to monkeys, macaws and an abundance of other species. Full of life, this pristine forest offers plentiful opportunity to take remarkable nature photos.

Ecotourism company Rainforest Expeditions has teamed with award-winning photographer Jeff Cremer to offer an exciting new photography workshop(hyperlink to program page when completed) in Tambopata.  Participants will have access to professional grade lenses and robotic tripod mounts for gigapanning and macro photography. They will leave with incredibly detailed pictures of wildlife from a quarter mile away or the mandibles of an ant.  While staying in comfortable lodges in the heart of the rainforest, workshop participants will be guided through sites set up to capture images of the most photogenic plants and animals.

As part of the launch of this exciting new program, Rainforest Expeditions is hosting a nature photography contest.  Prizes will be awarded to the three best photos, including a grand prize of free seven day Tambopata photo workshop with international airfare.  For details on how to enter, please visit:  http://www.perunature.com/blog/nature-photography-contest
