Almost 200 public sector learning professionals attended the AMA session on Emotional Intelligence as a Key to Effective Government Leadership, held at the ASTD Government Pavilion. This session was led by Harry White, one of AMA Enterprise’s most popular leadership development facilitators, and Sam Davis, VP, AMA Enterprise Government Solutions.
White noted: “Emotional Intelligence is being embraced by government human capital management officers because they recognize that they must focus efforts on retaining good talent and improving employee morale as well as training the leaders of tomorrow – and emotional intelligence supports both priorities.”
“We were impressed with the excellent participation at this session,” added Davis. “It reinforced our belief that government organizations are eager to learn more about innovative leadership development training programs.”
