Standard core break machines typically use a standard machine film, which is approximately 1,700 metres per roll. However, Polythene UK's new foldover pre-stretched machine film provides nearly double that per roll. They pre-stretch their machine film from 20 μ to 10 μ, which results in approximately 3,000 metres per roll. Whilst at the same time they fold over the edges so it remains 20 μ on the top and the bottom.  The result is an impressive 43% increase in the amount of film per roll that due to the specially folded edges, maintains its strength.

Additionally their 300% power stretch film is suitable for the Power pre-stretch turntables. The film is a down-gauged 5-layer film on a heavy-duty lightweight core. It offers a 20% saving in yield and provides the most cost-effective method of stretch wrapping pallets whilst giving the best load containment.
