June 27, 2011 - PRLog -- WEST NEWTON, MA – Steve Cummings, CCM, CCE, General Manager of Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton, Massachusetts and Member of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA) was elected as Assistant Treasurer and Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) at its annual meeting on June 23, 2011.

Mr. Cummings is a 1983 graduate from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Hotel Administration and has been a Board member of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association since 2003.

Mr. Cummings joined the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) in 1985 and has held management positions at Winchester Country Club (Winchester, MA), Oak Tree Country Club (outside of Pittsburg, PA), and Andover Country Club (Andover, MA). In 1988, Cummings joined Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton.

Mr. Cummings has served as a Board member and Treasurer of NECMA and has been guest lecturer at the University of New Hampshire, University of Massachusetts, Boston University, and Mass Bay Community College.

Cummings lives in Marshfield with his wife Beth, and has 5 children, ages 21, 20, 17, 15, and 5.
