Martinez will continue to develop strategic initiatives for outreach into the community as well as handling legislative objectives. Alvarez will be working on building a greater community presence and awareness among industry contacts and affiliations. Together, the two hope to further Dade Medical College’s community relationships not just on a local level but statewide as well.

Alvarez previously served as the Dean of the School of Continuing Education. Prior to joining DMC, Alvarez spent 20 years in senior executive positions in the Healthcare administration field. These postings included roles at Neighborhood Health Partnership, JMH Health Plan and Hialeah Hospital. Alvarez earned dual master degrees in business and healthcare administration from the University of Miami. He is currently completing a doctoral program in business management and finance at Nova Southeastern University.
