The Warren Lee Foundation for Veterans Electronic Raffle!!! Win a 2011 Mercedes Benz C300!!!

June 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The Warren Lee Foundation for Veterans is proud to bring to you its first fundraising initiative for 2011. Our initiative is to electronically raffle a 2011 Mercedes Benz C300 series vehicle nationally, in an effort to assist our At-Risk and Homeless Military Veterans in the areas of Transitional Housing, and Educational Resources. We seek all supporters of Military Veterans participation in this initiative because government grants are moving to slow and now they want to regulate what kind of veterans we help and who we help. So we became creative and inventive to get around the regulations that would not permit us to really assist the truly "at risk" veterans.

This request is being made due to the critical need for veteran assistance in Jacksonville and the state of Florida. Jacksonville alone has in excess of 100,000 disabled veterans who are displaced, living on the streets, some even have their families on the streets and in homeless shelters from time to time.

Jacksonville/Duval County is doing virtually nothing to assist these veterans. Mr. Warren Lee, foundation CEO, is also a disabled veteran and former mayoral candidate for the city of Jacksonville this past election cycle; Mr. Lee saw this need and exposed it to the general public during his campaign.

We are not asking for money to enrich or fatten our pockets, but to reach out to hurting and struggling veterans and their families, providing temporary housing, training for jobs, mental health assistance and transportation in an effort to blend these men and women back into mainstream society. Moreover, it will give the foundation a golden opportunity to award one lucky participant with a brand new 2011 Mercedes Benz C300.

Proceeds from this initiative will help the foundation to acquire a three hundred room hotel in Jacksonville that we will be converting to veteran housing. That one facility alone will permit us to temporarily house a minimum of 600 veterans and getting them off the street.

Additionally, we would be able to provide day care facilities for approximately another 300. On an average month we will be able to provide mental health counseling to around 2,000 veterans and transportation to and from various facilities of need. We are asking all members in this forum that can, to help us in our initiative to give these veterans "hand up" not a "hand out!"
