Rick McCrobie, President of Concord Lumber, commissioned the renovation to give the local store a more welcoming atmosphere which matches the attitude of the dedicated staff. The hardware store has been refurbished with new floors, freshly painted walls, and an impressive new display. “This store has played an important part in the community for the last 65 years by providing its customers with the personalized attention they deserve” stated Rick McCrobie. “We are very excited about the renovation- our regular customers are already commenting on how great the space looks and we hope that area residents will stop by to browse our new assortment”.
The seasonal area is the first step in a full store renovation – both inside and out – that will culminate in a grand re-opening of the store slated for early 2012. In February of this year, the roof on the existing shed of the lumberyard collapsed under heavy snow and plans are now in place to upgrade the structure. The overall goal of the renovations is to improve and modernize a trusted Concord institution to better serve our customers.
