High Stakes Fantasy Football Players Championship Chooses Caesar's Palace in Vegas for 2011 Venue

For the 4th consecutive year, the FFPC live events are returning to the legendary Caesars Palace in September 2011!!

PRLog - Jun. 26, 2011 - NEW YORK -- "Dave, Chris and I are very excited to be back in Caesars as the FFPC seems to feel "at home" in that outstanding venue. There is something about Caesars that screams Vegas and High Stakes",stated Alex Kaganovsky, co-founder of the FFPC.

We will start off by holding our now famous Opening Night Viewing Party on Thursday, September 8th in the luxury of the 11,000 sq.foot Roman Ballroom. With two huge viewing screens, a theater-quality audio system, this is the place to kick off your NFL season. A great buffet dinner will be served and a cash bar open all day long. But the best part is: this party is absolutely, positively FREE for all FFPC live events participants and co-managers. We will also be confirming the pre-game and post-game festivities to be held at the Roman Ballroom on Thursday, i.e. FF Roundtable and the Bare Knuckle Challenge.

All FFPC Live Events on Friday and Saturday, September 9-10 will be held in the Octavius Ballroom, located in the Promenade South area of the Caesars Palace conference center. With great Caesars Palace food, outstanding service and lavish surroundings, FFPC players can expect the same great "feel" to the 2011 FFPC events as we've all experienced since 2008.

But in addition to the Octavius Ballroom, we got a special little bonus. After pulling teeth with the heads of the Caesars catering sales the last few days, I was able to secure a 2000 sq.foot balcony called the Octavius Terrace, directly across from Octavius, which overlooks right over the incredible pool area of Caesars Palace. This is PRIME real estate of the Caesars conference area and it's all ours. We're not exactly sure what we will do with this terrace but at the least, players will be able to use it for some R&R in-between drafts or during breaks. As of now, we have the Octavius Terrace for the entire day Friday.

As far as rooms in the Caesars Palace, this is an area that Caesars has never been able to offer anything to us. For those who want to stay in Caesars, please check with Harrahs.com, Kayak.com or your favorite internet travel site for best rates. Note that the Palace Tower is the one nearest to the conference center but is also the most expensive.

For those who don't want to pay the extra bucks to stay at Caesars, I've looked at the rates for the surrounding hotels and you can get great rates at Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Treasure Island and Paris. One rate of note is at the Venetian which is offering a $186/night average price for a Wednesday-Sunday stay, all taxes and fees included.

Lastly, PLEASE remember that the start of the NFL season has not been confirmed and until it is, do NOT reserve anything which you cannot cancel and avoid significant penalty. We all expect the CBA to get done soon but until it is, let's not commit to anything we can't get out of.

Our contract with Caesars is contingent upon the NFL starting on time during the September 10-11 weekend. If there is a delay by the NFL, we will have to make new arrangements. Let's hope it doesn't come to that [fingers crossed].

The Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) is a High Stakes Fantasy Football event launched in 2008 by veteran fantasy football players. Players starting a contest, you might ask? After all, we play high stakes fantasy football leagues, we don't build brand new fantasy contests. We're players. Players...Hmm. What if this new contest, developed by fantasy football players, was tailor-made for fantasy football players? What if it included the very protection all players deserve and should now require from any contest: Prize Pool Held in Attorney Escrow! And it is this very concept which became the theme for our project: build a contest that is For Players, By Players.
