Finca Olga Maria donates bananas to the "Sugar Race" in Escuintla, Guatemala

Finca Olga Maria donated 5,000 bananas to the participants of the "Sugar Race", which took place in Escuintla, Guatemala, with about 2000 runners.

June 24, 2011 - PRLog -- This is the third year the company donates bananas to this race, as they are an excellent food for athletes and a great source of energy. Also bananas are a natural remedy for depression, improves mood, prevents insomnia, regulates blood pressure, prevent strokes, arthritis and metabolic diseases, strengthens the hair and prevents collapse, stimulates the production of hemoglobin and prevents anemia, reduces cholesterol levels, relieve premenstrual pain, soothes and prevents cramps, among others.

As part of the corporate social responsibility programs, Finca Olga Maria supports these types of events that promote the sport in Guatemala and are activities that benefit their employees who live in that area and can enjoy with their families, these kind of recreation activities.

This race is done for 23 years, first organized by Fundazucar and currently by the Asociación de Técnicos Azucareros de Guatemala, ATAGUA. Finca Olga Maria collaborates with this race for over three years.
