Apollo Munich Health Insurance – A Great Place to Work!

June 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The Economic Times and the Great Place to Work Institute recently conducted a survey to uncover the best companies to work with. While there were more than 500 companies that signed up for the survey, 471 met the strict eligibility criteria. Apollo Munich Health Insurance, which is a stand-alone medical insurance provider, ranked among the top 100 best places to work in. This proves that Apollo Munich is one of the best companies to work with in the Indian insurance sector.

According to the Institute, a Great Place to Work is one where the employee and employer have an amicable relation. The former has good faith in the latter. The employee takes pride in working for the company. The best places to work in are those where people enjoy themselves while working.

There were more than 67,000 employees from 20 sectors that participated in the survey. Suresh Surana and Associates audited the registration figures. From each company that participates, employees are randomly selected by Great Place to Work Institute from the complete employee list of the organization.

The Institute conducted the study in India on grounds identical to those followed in USA and Europe. The model and method used comprises of a unique employee-centric framework. This measures the levels of Trust, Pride and Camaraderie prevalent in an organization through Trust Index©. The fact that Apollo Munich Health Insurance has been ranked one of the best in the insurance sector, highlights the pride and faith that employees have in the company work with. It is also evident that employees in the company have a good time working where they do. There are several employee engagement activities that keep the workplace cheerful.

The Trust Index©, is a proprietary employee survey tool that has been developed by the Institute. It has 57 statements that gauge an employee’s experience while working at the place. These are measured through five dimensions of the Great Place to Work® Model ©. In addition there are 3 customized statements for the Indian context that help understand the employee’s thoughts on what makes their place of work a great place to work in. The statements also capture what the employees feel are the areas with scope for improvement. About 70% of the participants gave comments that provided this important qualitative feedback.

The employee’s response becomes the primary grounds for evaluation of the company. Apollo Munich’s rank within the top 100 Best Places to Work in India is testimony to the company values and work ethics. The 5 values of Apollo Munich seem to inspire individuals to work for the company with their heart and soul and testify that Apollo Munich takes care of employees with equal fervor.
