Follow on Google News | Lennar Supports Palmetto Heroes Homebuying Discount Program with Affordable Homes in South CarolinaDream of Owning a Home is Even More Attainable in Myrtle Beach and Greater Charleston
By: Elizabeth Baker South Carolina’s new Palmetto Heroes program provides affordable financing for individuals who positively contribute to their communities, including teachers, nurses, firefighters, police officers, emergency medical services personnel and veterans. The initiative features a reduced mortgage interest rate of only 4.625 percent as well as up to $5,000 in down payment assistance. While the Palmetto Heroes program will assist with many families’ financing, another part of becoming a homeowner is finding an affordable home. Just as important as cost is quality, location and fitting the individual’s specific needs. Lennar offers all of this and more at their communities in the Lowcountry and Grand Strand. With seven communities in the Greater Charleston area, Palmetto Heroes can find their perfect home in Ladson, Moncks Corner or Summerville. All of these Lennar communities are near shopping, restaurants and major interstates, which put Charleston and its many employers and attractions at homeowners’ fingertips. Lennar’s Hunters Bend community in Ladson has one- and two-story single-family home plans starting in the $140s. Lennar offers three communities in Moncks Corner, including Ricefield at Spring Grove Plantation and The Boulevard at Foxbank, which both offer homes starting in the low $200s; and The Abbey at Spring Grove, where homes start in the low $140s. Lennar also has three communities in Summerville – Waterside Landing, where homes start as low as the $130s; Wentworth Hall, which offers homes from the $150s; and Lindera Preserve at Cane Bay Plantation, coming this fall. Myrtle Beach’s Emmens Preserver, conveniently located just off Highway 17 near Market Common, lets future homeowners choose from a variety of plans ranging from townhomes to single-family homes. The townhomes at Emmens Preserve offer 1,300 to more than 1,700 square feet and start in the $150s, and two collections of single-family home plans start as low as the $200s. Perhaps even more tempting than the great prices are the amenities at Emmens Preserve, including a lake with fishing pavilion, park with two outdoor kitchens, two fire pits, putting green, resort-style pool, cardio room, and a beautiful pavilion – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful South Carolina weather any time of year. Lennar representatives are always available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and also Saturday, or noon to 6 p.m. on Friday or Sunday, at each community’s Welcome Home Center.
