►Celebrate Summer in Chicago @ Lincoln Park Arts & Music Festival, July 16-17

June 29, 2011 - PRLog -- CHICAGO—If  Memorial and Labor Days are the goalposts that unofficially frame summer, then this year's Lincoln Park Arts & Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, is smack dab on the 50 yard line in the field that is Chicago's outdoor summer fest season.  

In addition to the works of more than 80 juried artists, this year's music headliners are acclaimed Chicago roots rockers The Freddy Jones Band (on Saturday) and equally lauded South Carolina singer/songwriter Trevor Hall (on Sunday).

Other acts on the bill include extolled singer/songwriters Tony Lucca and Jeffrey David Goldford; Chicago roots rockers the YellowHammers; and the soulful Latin troupe that is Caliente.

Now celebrating its third year, the fest will be held on Racine between Fullerton and Webster in the heart of the DePaul/Lincoln Park neighborhood. Hours are Noon-10:00 p.m. on Saturday; Noon-9:00 p.m. on Sunday. There's also a kids' area with inflatables.

NEW this year: the food purveyors will include several Buffalo wing vendors.
