Project I.N. V.O.G.U.E Taps Dominique Auxilly For “Beautiful Disaster”

V.O.G.U.E (Impacting Valuing Our Girls: Uplift and Empower) and designer Dominique Auxilly are advocates for empowering and uplifting women. Aiming to address the needs and aspirations of minority and underprivileged women in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area between the ages of 15-18, Project I.N. V.O.G.U.E presents their first annual fashion show entitled “Beautiful Disaster". Celebrity designer Dominique Auxilly will style and provide looks.

The show will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the University of Maryland College Park, Stamp Student Union inside the Colony Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm. The “Beautiful Disaster” is a play on hard and soft, edgy vs. preppy. Auxilly is well known for her ability to contort the most difficult of fabrications into beautifully edgy garments, making her the perfect match for the show’s premise.

Project I.N. V.O.G.U.E will donate all proceeds from “Beautiful Disaster” to the charity Abused and Homeless Children’s Refuge- Alternate House (http://www.thealternativehouse.org/aboutus.htm). No stranger to philanthropy, Auxilly jumped at the chance to donate her time and designs to a worthy cause. Auxilly has participated in countless fashionably charitable events, including F.E.W ‘s (Fashion Empowering Women) Vagina Monologues, Habitat For Humanity, APPARATUS II Reloaded and has donated dresses to the Salvation Army fashion show and several charities for auction.
