“Both Andrea and Beth clearly articulated and demonstrated their clinical strengths and how certification by the WOCNCB helped them meet the challenges of daily clinical practice,” says Marilyn Swindle, DNP, MBA, RN, CWOCN, chair of the WOCNCB Awards Committee. “The WOCNCB is delighted to award them with financial reimbursement up to $450.00 USD toward their recertification fees. We are especially pleased to present a grant to Kara, who will use her grant to sit for the CWOCN exam for the first time.”
Founded in 1978, the WOCNCB promotes the highest standard of consumer care and safety by providing credentialing in the areas of wound, ostomy, continence and foot care nursing. The WOCNCB Certification Grant was developed as a means to publicly recognize certificants who are highly motivated, are currently in clinical practice, and who are in a position which will enable them to disseminate knowledge acquired through certification to others in their practice setting.
