Rowe Ford Donates to National Wounded Warriors High Five Tour During First Maine Stop

High Five Tour in Ford Shelby Mustang GT-500 raises money for wounded soldiers and their families

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 22, 2011 - WESTBROOK, ME , –  This summer, Colonel John Folsom, United States Marine Corps (Ret) is embarking on an important mission.  Setting out in a 2011 Shelby Mustang GT-500, Colonel Folsom plans to meet as many Americans as possible to thank them for their support of military families and raise funds for the mission of Wounded Warriors Family Support.  Folsom’s organization helps families of soldiers who have been wounded, injured, or killed during combat operations.

As the High Five Tour makes its way across the country and into Maine on June 29, 2011, Rowe Ford will issue a “thank you” of it’s own and make a $1,000 donation to the Wounded Warriors Family Support fundraising efforts.

Rowe Ford owner Wally Camp takes the mission of the Wounded Warriors Family Support very personally. “My son, Mark, served as a United States Marine in Iraq where he was wounded in service to our country.  We’re very lucky that we have him back with us—in fact, he’s now a salesman here at Rowe Ford. We know how important it is for military families to know they’re supported, that their sacrifices matter and are appreciated.  The Wounded Warriors Family Support project can make a big difference in the lives of many families.”

“I’m grateful for Ford’s support of the tour and for Rowe Ford’s donation,” says Colonel Folsom. “I’m especially eager to visit my fellow Marine, Mark Camp.  Mark and I served in Iraq at the same time. It’s good to know he’s back home and doing well.

“Countless other soldiers and their families need our help, however, to cope with the physical, psychological, and spiritual stress that war causes.  With generous donations like this from Rowe Ford, we can continue our mission.”

The Wounded Warrior High Five Tour will be at Rowe Ford, 91 Main St. Westbrook, approximately 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, June 29th.
