They were almost 50 students who shared this extracurricular activity that the school, among many others, offers to their students in order to learn Spanish outside classrooms. It was a day full of fun to all of them, because for many students it was the first time they cooked authentic paella Valenciana, while some of them had already experience with this. Also, the weather was really good to celebrate the event. Many of the students missed to take a bath in the beach or in the swimming pool of the sports centre.
But this they are going to make it in San Juan’s night, when they go from the school to the beach. The activity proposed by Costa de Valencia, Spanish school is already traditional among its activities. And every year, there are most students who want to join and enjoy this activity where, surrounding a big bonfire, there are typical dances and songs to ask to San Juan to erase all the things that you don’t want.
The tradition says that you have to write those things that you want to forget; then you have to throw the paper to the bonfire and turn round the bonfire three times. In order to practice Spanish, the students of the school will have to write those things they want to forget in Spanish language. So, they can learn while they are enjoying this extracurricular activity.
Lots of surprises are being prepared for the students that, with no doubt, are going to enjoy it a lot and they will want to come back next year. That’s because to study in Costa de Valencia, Spanish school, is synonymous of fun.
