Bluegreen Resorts in Myrtle Beach Prepared for July 4th Battleship Blast

It is the 15th Anniversary that the Battleship North Carolina will shoot off the fireworks for the 2011 4th of July event, and it is the 50th Anniversary of the celebration.  This year’s event, held at 9 p.m., will feature a more brilliant display of firework colors and affects than year’s past. The event is always well attended with last year’s attendance reaching more than 50,000 viewers. The primary viewing area for the fireworks display will be from downtown Wilmington, as the Eagles Island Battleship complex will be closed after 6 p.m.
