By: Oceanic Group PG Paper Company Ltd was established by husband and wife team Puneet and Poonam Gupta in 2003. Salvaging, and finding uses for industrial commodities that would normally go to waste or landfill, and recycling, is central to business for PG Paper, who work from their base in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire. The company – now a truly global exporter, with its operations spread across all continents – is projecting a further 100% growth in the next couple of years. This high level of success allowed the couple to focus more on giving back and while they have many charity endeavours across the globe Action for Children Scotland, being right on their doorstep, is one that they feel particularly passionate about. Poonam Gupta said “We really enjoy working with, and supporting, charity events like The Sports Dinner. Action for Children has proved to be adept at organising nights which prove to be a huge amount of fun as well as raising crucial funds for vulnerable children.” Action for Children Scotland helps the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential. A spokesman for Action for Children said: “After last year, it was an easy choice to choose PG Paper as sponsors of the Action for Children Sports Dinner 2011 once again, as together we managed to raise over £25,000 and The Guptas have been incredibly supportive of our work. Action For Children Scotland supports over 8000 children, young people and their families at more than 60 projects across the country, and we rely on the kind donations to provide help and care.” For further press information please contact Oceanic Group’s PR Team on 0141 420 1333 or email angie@oceanicgroup.co.uk. -ENDS- Notes to Editors 1.
