The premium games portal Playandroid.com expands its range to daily game reviews

Karlsruhe/Germany (June 20th, 2011) – Rumble Media has today revealed a further feature of its Android Game Portal: On the Playandroid Blog (www.playandroid.com/blog), the in-house editorial department will from now on present daily game reviews for specially selected Android games.

The close connection to the game developers, which the company has focused on from the start, will be further strengthened by this reviewing process. David An, founder and Managing Director of Rumble Media, stated: „In the face of the abundance of new app stores, it’s becoming more and more difficult for the developers to back the right horse. Due to this, Playandroid is trying to give the developers an entire ecosystem of value-added services, to which test reviews belong in every sense”. Consequently, developers have the possibility to get directly in touch with the editorial in order to allow their games to be reviewed in a fair, independent and detailed manner. These reviews include test videos on YouTube, leading to a widespread promotion of their games.

The game reviews further enrich the “value-added services for the developers”, as David An points out. Rumble Media began to fight against the unclarity and complexity of the Android Market as early as February this year. Its main website www.playandroid.com contains a mix of structure and quality in order to alleviate the chasm between developers and users.

Playandroid.com will make the next step towards improved „mobile app discovery“ in the near future, with their self-developed Android app, which has been designed as a social game store. With this app, the community functions of the main site are taken on board and furthermore, users are given the possibility to share their games with friends and receive tailored recommendations according to their gaming interests.
