Leading Logistics Software House chooses Resonant Digital for Online Marketing Brief

Axida, the Hull-based developer of heavy-duty logistics software for the distribution sector, has asked Darlington-based agency Resonant Digital to undertake the online marketing of its new cloud-based PPD pick and pack software solution.

However, the client base for its suite of distribution management software underlines their position in this field with Ikea, Wincanton, Wickes and CEVA all counting among the companies that rely on Axida solutions to manage everything from warehouse logistics to home delivery.
However, in a significant shift of emphasis, Axida has recently decided to offer its existing PPD (pick, pack and dispatch) product on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis to a completely different scale of client by turning it into an 'on-demand' browser-based service.
By utilising the SaaS model (software as a service), it's possible for mid-sized ecommerce operators and fulfilment houses to cost-effectively access the same functionality as the 'big boys' enjoy. With rates that start from as little as 4p per parcel, it makes a compelling case when compared to the TCO for a similar in-house software solution.
Of course, as a company that's more used to subtle networking in the distribution industry than shouting about itself, the new PPD offering presents a problem: how to market to specific segments in a manner that's strong enough to break through the vast amount of content that exists in the logistics industry.
