PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 20, 2011 - The Allendale Community for Mature Living has promoted Joan Fredella, LNHA, CALA of Vailsburg, N.J. to administrator. In this position, Fredella oversees all day-to-day operations and service departments of The Allendale Community's three residences - The Allendale Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, Carlton Court and The Atrium. Fredella, who possesses more than a decade of experience in the nursing home industry, joined this senior living community as an assistant administrator in 2010.

Developed in stages beginning in 1967, The Allendale Community in Bergen County pioneered modern-day eldercare and has evolved during the past 43 years into a full-service senior housing community. The continuum of care bridges the gap between skilled nursing and subacute services as well as memory care and assisted senior living with supportive services. The Senior Social Club adult day program and Short-Term Stay Program, for emergency or planned respite situations, also are among the most modern offerings.

"Working at The Allendale Community for Mature Living is not only a privilege, but a passion for me," said Fredella. "I truly love coming to work everyday."

As a certified assisted living administrator, Fredella continued her professional education, earning her nursing home administrator's license in 2004. Previously, she graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor of science degree in business management.

"Joan's passion and dedication to her work are unmistakable," said Hector R. Giancarlo, M.D., F.A.C.S., founder and president of The Allendale Community. "She is an instrumental part of our Allendale family, and this promotion is certainly well-deserved."

To complement its superior on-site services, The Allendale Community has forged strong partnerships with area hospitals, including Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, Hackensack University Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y.

The Allendale Community for Mature Living is located at 85 Harreton Road, on 12 suburban acres in Allendale, N.J. The campus is easily accessible via Route 17 South with private driveway access.
