Innovation Top Of Mind For HBA Global Attendees; Prestige Beauty Brands are Looking for Inspiration

Product development executives from some of the biggest worldwide beauty brands are excited for the trends and innovations that will be presented at HBA Global Expo & Conference, June 28-30, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

PRLog - June 20, 2011 - NEW YORK -- Product development executives from some of the biggest worldwide beauty brands are excited for the trends and innovations that will be presented at HBA Global Expo & Conference coming up June 28-30 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.  
   “I am looking forward to attending this year’s HBA because our world is changing so rapidly that it will be interesting to see how suppliers are keeping up with new trends, ideas and innovations to meet this new challenging world,” said Philippe Chansel, Director Product Development, MAC Cosmetics.
             More than 100 new products are expected to be showcased by HBA exhibitors which includes top suppliers of primary and secondary packaging, high performance ingredients and raw materials, private label and contract manufacturers, brushes, delivery systems, naturals, and for the first time finished goods.  
         “I always find the HBA show stimulating; it’s a once a year opportunity for suppliers to showcase new ideas and new technologies and they never fail to impress and inspire,” said Betty Broder, Director Product Development, Laura Geller Make-up Inc. Et Al.   
          For three days, anyone involved in product development will be immersed in the latest developments for cosmetics, fragrance, personal care, skin care and wellness industries.  “The life blood of the cosmetic industry is new products, new delivery systems and innovative packaging…without the HBA Expo we would be dependent on individual client/supplier meetings which could limit the scope of our explorations and new product development,” added Ms. Broder.    “I always find something new and innovative at the HBA Expo, suppliers plan for months, or more, to present their new products and concepts to a willing audience and they are all in one place for me to discover!”
          Debbie Feynman, Manager, Product Development, Maybelline, also finds value from the HBA event.  “Attending the HBA intensifies my passion for beauty and helps stimulate my creativity,” she said.  
          In addition to the new products and services being displayed on the HBA exhibit floor, attendees will also have a classroom to the industry with the HBA Global Conference.   Organized around five tracks, the HBA Conference will cover sessions on Marketing, Technical Advancements, Green Products and Sustainability, International Business, and the latest in Skin Care.   More than 200 experts in all facets of beauty, branding, personal care, product development, and retail sales will present new information and ideas at this in-depth educational program
   Additional highlights of this year’s HBA Global Expo & Conference include a Keynote Address by Dan Brestle, Chairman of the Board, The Personal Care Products Council, and a special marketing innovations preview by Mike Indursky, President of Bliss World.  There will also be a Trends Pavilion featuring make-up demonstrations and on trend reports from The Doneger Group, Pantone and others.  In its interactive Innovation Showcase, Mintel, will be demonstrating and testing Down to Earth beauty and personal care products from all over the world.
