Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim

Grandma Aggie is the descendant of tribal leaders, both political and spiritual, so she works hard to keep tradition alive and to renew it, as with the Sacred Salmon Ceremony that she has brought back to her homeland in the Rogue River Valley of southwest Oregon after 140 years. Honored as a “Living Treasure” by her tribe, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz, and as a “Living Cultural Legend” by the Oregon Council of the Arts, Grandma Aggie is an exceptionally clear and strong speaker whose no-nonsense eloquence has touched people of many different cultures in the US and around the world. An Ambassador for our Mother Earth, she is a voice for the voiceless, seeking to prevent spiritual blindness by helping us to remember the ways of living that we all share as people of the Earth.

Jyoti Jeneane Prevatt

Jyoti Jeneane Prevatt is one of the founders of Kayumari, a spiritual healing community, located in the Sierra foothills of California, Guerneville, California New York, Switzerland, Prague and a home in the Brazilian Amazon. She is the spiritual director of the Center for Sacred Studies, a church dedicated to protecting and sustaining the spiritual practices of first-nation peoples around the world. From that effort, The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers has evolved, creating a global movement for the unity of all people as they have joined their hearts in a prayer for world peace. The grandmothers have made her their Traveling Ambassador Charged with the Mission. She has devoted her life to bringing unity to the planet by facilitating the development of alliances between individuals who are the guardians of indigenous culture and traditional medicine ways. Many blessings.

Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein

Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein is a Yupik Elder and the first certified traditional doctor in Alaska. She is also an artist, a teacher, speaker and storyteller. Rita's teachings of the “Talking Circle” have been recorded and published, and she has traveled the world to teach song, dance, basket weaving and cultural issues. She donates these earnings to Native American colleges. Grandmother Rita was born on a fishing boat. Because her father died before she was born, Rita was raised by mother, grandmothers and great-grandmothers. All were wise women elders of her Yupik people. "I grew up with the Grandmothers, walked with the grandmothers and learned with the grandmothers," she says of her family's powerful teachings.

Evoking their majestic beauty and deep significance, the spirit of these songs illuminates and connects the inner and outer worlds of the Dine. Anchored by gourd drum and sustained by waves of his flowing vocals, Gonnie leads an inner voyage from dreams to actuality, from earth to sky and from the past to eternity.
