Achievement Matters' Own Report Card a Success

June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, Ca – Over the past few months, Achievement Matters, Inc. has been busy.  Not only have they been working hard to prepare their students for the oh so frequent chapter test or reading quiz, or for the impending final exams, but they have gone to work compiling data about the successes of each and every one of their students.  Based on feedback received from parents, teachers, and their own tutors, the results they have acquired are striking.

As of June 1, 2011, 100% of clients who have been enrolled in one of Achievement Matters’ tutoring programs for at least four weeks or thirty hours have improved their grades in that subject by at least one-half letter grade.  This means, for example, that 100% of these students has improved his or her grades from a C- to a C+, or from a B- to a B+.  And among those students, 65% have actually improved their grades by one whole letter grade (i.e. from a B- to an A-).

Additionally, Achievement Matters asks the parents of its students to fill out monthly evaluation forms rating the performance of its tutors and the success of its programs.  In these evaluation forms, parents are asked to rate the program overall on a scale from 1 (being the worst) to 10 (being the best).  85% of parents who responded did so with a score of either 9 or 10.

Put quite simply, these data show that Achievement Matters’ programs work.  They have designed a unique system that places students with a tutor who not only specializes in the areas in which he or she is struggling, but who also fits that student’s personality.  The company recognizes the importance of a good fit between a student and his or her tutor.  Studies have shown that students will learn best from people they are comfortable with, and Achievement Matters’ successes can be largely attributed to its custom-matching of students to tutors.  This approach allows for the best possible fit, and the best possible results.
