June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The Chester Grosvenor’s food and beverage manager Mark Bevan has been tipped for the top in an award to identify the hospitality industry’s stars of the future.

Earlier this month Mark, 27, picked up his Acorn Award, which aims to identify 30 of the brightest prospects in the hospitality industry under the age of 30.

It’s a double celebration for Mark who has just been promoted to food and beverage manager after a year in the deputy’s role.

He said: “I am over the moon to be recognised in this way. The Acorn Awards are very well respected and are viewed as a ‘ones to watch’ list so naturally I’m humbled and thrilled in equal measure to be included.”

The Acorns are run by industry title ‘Caterer and Hotelkeeper’.

Editor Mark Lewis said: "All the winners display a level of flair and quality that makes them the envy of their profession.

"Each and every one of them can feel extremely proud to join the ranks of Acorn Award holders, which include the likes of Marco Pierre White, Marcus Wareing and Michael Caines."

Tracey Rogers, managing director of sponsor Unilever Food Solutions, said: "Our congratulations go to this year's winners and we wish them every success in their future careers - no doubt these are names we'll see again."
