mamemo productions awarded Green Event Management Prize by Swiss Business Council

June 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Less than a week after it won the region’s highest recognition for sustainable events, mamemo productions was awarded with the Green Event Management Prize by the Swiss Business Council during their celebration of World Environment Day on the 5th of June 2011 in Dubai.

In a short presentation by Director for Special Projects Raymond O’Hora, he highlighted the procedures initiated by mamemo productions’ team to reduce its carbon footprint in its daily operation and in its events, emphasizing that “an event of high creative standards could also be a low-carbon, low-environment impact event.”

Managing & Creative Director Sam Katiela said of this award, ““This award is an important recognition of what we have tried to live as a company for years: that caring and respecting the environment is good for business. Furthermore, we are proud to have been involved in managing such important events as the Zayed Future Energy Prize and the Green Dubai World Forum. We are also proud of providing support to the World Future Energy Summit, the world’s largest gathering of the renewable energy sector, which is organized by Reed Exhibition and hosted by Masdar.”

The Swiss Business Council Environment Award is an annual event that recognizes its member companies who demonstrate leadership and outstanding achievement in environmental conservation within their business or organisation. To date, it is the only award of its kind sponsored by a business council in the whole Middle East.  

This recognition adds to mamemo productions’ roster of awards and recognitions for its sustainable practices, including the Middle East Event Award 2011 for Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability (Events), and the Middle East Business Achievement Awards 2008 for Environmental Contribution of the Year.
