FabSuite and MWD Steel Fabrication Selected to Present at 2012 SDS/2 Users Group Conference

Oct. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- FabSuite, the fastest growing software provider in the fabricated steel industry and MWD Steel Fabrication, leader in design and fabrication, have been selected to participate in the 2012 SDS/2 Users Group Conference Partner Pavilion being held in Lincoln, Nebraska, October 10-12, 2012.

This joint presentation will give SDS/2 users a look into how FabSuite software integrates with SDS/2 to compliment one another and give detailers and fabricators added value and service to their software investments. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a SDS/2 user and how they are using FabSuite to streamline their operations.

In this information sessions attendees will hear directly from Amy Davis, one of FabSuite's software developers, as well as FabSuite account manager, Todd White, and FabSuite user Brian Thompson, owner/drafting manager of MWD Steel Fabrication. They will explain and demonstrate the interaction between SDS/2 and FabSuite through file exchanges. They will show attendees how using a simple process they can transfer all kinds of data like: drawings, CNC data, production data, modeling data and bill of material information. They will do a quick overview of KISS setup in SDS/2 and show how to import and use that file in FabSuite. Then they will introduce the FabSuite Data Exchange, explain its two-way communication and show how the production status of pieces change in real time through: bar code scanners, tablet devices, smartphones and/or computers. And finally, Amy, Todd and Brian will talk about importing and cataloging RFI's from SDS/2 into FabSuite, and how to use that to your advantage.

This will be a technical session and not a sales presentation, so don't worry about any high pressure sales pitch.

This session will be held on Thursday, October 11th at 9:20am. FabSuite representatives will also be on hand at the Partner Pavilion on Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday, October 12th to visit and answer any questions attendees may have.
