Launching a New Fashion Games Website

June 14, 2011 - PRLog -- What I want to tell you is a true story, so please don’t laugh at me, but rather think about that. I am by no means a teenage girl (thankfully). I am a woman in my early fifties with a solid job.

While growing up I wanted to become a fashion designer. You know what I am talking about – designing dresses worn by super models, being a world-known designer, that kind of staff.

I was spending hours to an end initially dressing up in my mom’s clothes and wearing her high heels while picturing the crowd looking at me while doing the cat walk on the podium.

Later on I started coming up with designs for dresses and not only that but I was wearing them at school. No need to tell you that I was hip and cool and all the girls envied me, because I was different, more stylish if you wish. I was the most popular girl in school.

I was able to clearly see myself as a fashion designer some day. I knew, I was good at it and why not making some money doing what I love.

Some time during senior high I decided that fashion while cool wasn’t a serious enough business and I didn’t want to bet my future on something like that.

That’s why I decided instead of pursuing career in fashion design to concentrate on something that will guarantee me a stable job and a good income in future.

And so I did, I got into college, graduated and starting working in an accounting firm. Nothing exciting, of course, but very well paid so I can support myself and my family.

However, the fashion bug never left me. It got worse actually when my first daughter was born. I started sewing dresses and skirts for her that were one of a kind. Needless to say parents of other kids were asking me where I got them from. I just used to smile and reply – from abroad.

At one point she left for college and my second daughter followed suit shortly and I had no one to make dresses for.

I didn’t want to do it for other people, money were not what I was going after.  That’s when I turned to the Internet for solution. And I found it. I found fashion games that could be played online right in the browser. No need to download software or buy games – there are free.

I was hooked, I was spending hours (and still am) dressing up characters in different outfits. I just couldn’t get enough of it.

Soon after that I started taking screenshots of my master pieces and emailing them to my female friends. And they were hooked as well.

We were constantly sending screenshots trying to outdo each other. At one point it became crazy. Who knew that my girlfriends were so competitive? Who knew I was so competitive!

Anyways, the point I want to make is that if you have a daughter who aspires to become a fashion designer some day, you must show her what fashion games are. She will be hooked. That I can guarantee you. You can thank me later for that.

As I said before – fashion games are completely free and there is no software to install or discs and consoles to buy.
