Your Holiday Scuba Diving and Photography

vacation or holiday depending on which part of the world you reside. With all the disputes as to destination settled it is time to plan for the occasion.

If you  are you one of the many millions of people who like to Scuba Dive or Snorkel whilst on holiday then you will probably have chosen a location with tropical reefs and a multitude of different types of marine life. Scuba diving and snorkling are becoming ever more popular because it allows the swimmer to get closer to and interact more with the marine life at the location being dived.

Depending on the waters selected for the dive there are some spectacular sights to be seen. No matter how good your eye for detail or your memory, you will never fully do justice to the sights you see by trying to describe them. This is where the old saying a picture is worth a thousand words is proved to be true.

Instead of trying to recall and capture in words the sights you have enjoyed, why not Video them to show to your friends at a later date or to watch them  yourself as you relive the experience.

At one time not too long ago Video equipment to take these kinds of pictures would have been too expensive for most.  Fortunately that is no longer the case, there are now many waterproof video cameras, one of these is the Sanyo VPC WH1 High Definition w/30 Optical Zoom.

The camera can be used to a depth of 10 feet for an hour. The 30 x Optical Zoom allows close up pictures of marine life at a much greater depth. I have mentioned the optical zoom as it is my personal preference compared to digital zoom.

Both types of zoom have their particular advantages, to go into depth would be a whole new article, suffice to say at this time, I prefer the optical zoom.

You can now catch and relive your holiday experience whenever you choose to do so. Capture those memories on Video. This is also an excellent still camera. It has a compact design and an menu which can be easily accessed by the users thumb.
