Jun. 13, 2011 - AutoPlus has just announced a new inventory and window sticker labeling product for the automotive industry and is available on Apple’s App Store. The AutoPlus App features a VIN bar code scanner with instant validation for the iPhone 3GS and newer. The VIN may also be entered by keypad for non-camera equipped devices or when the VIN barcode is inaccessible. AutoPlus quickly authenticates and then decodes the VIN (serial number) and displays rich details including year, make, model, engine, equipment and optional accessory items and EPA city and highway mileage values. Data can be collected for any number of vehicles and then transmitted over WI-FI and cellular networks to any computer in the world. On the PC, the AutoPlus Software V8.1 the user can link photos, edit data, print window sticker labels with QR codes, print FTC Buyers Guide labels, distribute data and photos to various web services and share the information with other applications. Vehicle photos can originate from the iPhone, a digital camera or other digital source. The AutoPlus App accepts vehicles produced after 1981 (17 digit VINs). Coverage is for North American vehicles and omits data for exotic vehicles and older vehicles that are not commonly found on dealership car lots. AutoPlus app is a significant automation advance and represents the latest evolution in the 21-year history of the AutoPlus Window Sticker business.
