Smart SoD gives PeopleSoft customers a user-friendly means to define their SoD rules, detect any violations that currently exist in the system so that they can be remediated, and enforce the rules to be applied when new users are added or responsibilities are changed. Mitigations can be applied to cater for temporary reassignment of duties or seasonal staff fluctuations.

Dashboard analytics are also provided to facilitate drill-down query and reporting, providing fast access to information required by internal or external auditors. This will greatly reduce the workload of performing or preparing for audits.

Research by the Ponemon Institute LLC, in “The True Cost of Compliance,” its Benchmark Study of Multinational Organizations in January 2011, indicates that organizations which conduct 5 or more audits per year reduce their non-compliance costs by an amazing 82%.
