Electric Bicycle Manufacturer Optibike replaces Ford Dealership in prominent Boulder retail space

June 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Optibike LLC, the premier US based manufacturer of electric bicycles opened their 7500 sq ft Flagship Retail Store and manufacturing facility in the iconic glass building that was formerly occupied by Champion Ford at 3200 28th street in Boulder. Optibike was founded by former Ford Motor Co. engineer Jim Turner.

Optibike has been manufacturing 5 models of electric bikes in Boulder since 2005, with worldwide sales to more than 28 countries.  All 5 Optibike models include a lithium ion battery and the Optibike Patented Motorized Bottom Bracket, which give the Optibike unmatched hill climbing power and range of 50 miles on a charge.  

“The Optibike is designed to make cycling more accessible to people who are not currently riding to work or riding for exercise.  The Optibike removes obstacles such as big hills or time constraints that prevent more people from using bikes as day to day transportation for trips up to 50 miles.  In this way, the Optibike is designed to be a car replacement, not a bicycle replacement,” says Optibike President Jim Turner.
